Mary Damron - spokesperson for Operation Christmas ChildMary Damron grew up (and still lives) in the rural Appalachian mountains of West Virginia. But, traveling to foreign lands and presenting the gospel of Jesus Christ to children through Operation Christmas Child keeps her very busy. Don't miss the stories only that Mary Damron can share. (BTW) The first time Mary Damron participated in Operation Christmas Child a ministry of Samaritan's Purse, she collected over 1,200 shoeboxes in just 13 days! Catch the details Sunday @ 5pm...The Mission of Operation Christmas Child: To demonstrate God's love in a tangible way to needy children around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.-Over 8 million children received your shoe boxes and the Good News of Jesus Christ in 2009.
-Kids in over 95 countries around the world have been given shoe boxes since 1993.

Guest: Anne Rudert - Development Director with Samaritan Ministries of Forsyth County “Food for the body, Hope for the soul”

Samaritan Ministries has been serving the community since 1981. They will celebrate their 30th anniversary in 2011. The Soup Kitchen served its 3 millionith meal this past summer. Anne will share about the soup kitchen, project cornerstone, the inn shelter for men and their Penny Campaign.
